MuxLab has taken a great leap forward in the broadcast market with the new 6G-SDI Extender Over Fiber. Three truly unique solutions wrapped in one, built for extending multiple SDI broadcats signal over fiber optic cable.
This Second-generation extender allows users the flexibility to send four independent HD-SDI sources and RS232 using just one fiber optic cable link, reducing the requirement of multiple pieces of distribution equipment and cabling. These products feature the versatility of being able to handle other transmissions such as a single 6G-SDI signal for 4K broadcast or two 3G-SDI signals for multiple Full HD. Utilizing a fiber connection allows distances to be achieved that are far greater than those of a standarf SDI cable, or sending via copper twisted pair (Cat5e/6).
